Humanoid City live DVD

As you all know, the Humanoid City live CD+DVD coming out in July and we would like YOU to make promotional posters for it. Take them with you to the shelter or make them together when you're already there - just get creative and make sure you share the pictures with us afterwards!

Ever since I posted the complete list of the ten participating countries on the blog, two more have contacted us, saying they would love to do it as well, but later. We've got to figure something out... a second date for all of those who won't be able to do it tomorrow?

Long time no see. I can't believe a whole month has passed ever since the last post. You can blame it on school, really.

However, we've got some great news: We proudly present Belgium, Denmark and Austria as our newest participants. The project is getting bigger and bigger, and we're really glad.

We have also created a forum for the organisers to discuss things. Hopefully some serious preparation for the project will start soon.

The conception of the project is now also defined: This is an unofficial Tokio Hotel fanaction, meaning that not only the official fanclubs can participate, but really anyone. We say, the bigger the better.

Which brings me to this: We're still looking for more participants. If YOU're from a country that's not involved in the project yet and YOU'd be willing to take it on yourself, organising the project in your country, then don't hesitate to contact us (Helena - inger.helena[at]gmail.com / Siiri - laanemets.siiri[at]gmail.com). You don't have to be a staff member of a fanclub, all you need to be is a Tokio Hotel fan and an animal-lover. We really can't wait for more countries and more people to be involved. :)

News from Estonia

Yesterday we contacted a dog shelter in Tallinn, Estonia (called Tallinna Loomade Hoiupaik), asking if they would like to cooperate with us. We got quite a positive reply - they seem to like the idea. Estonian fans have also been pretty enthusiastic so far, so it seems that we'll really be able to make this fanaction happen in Estonia.

There are no news from other countries yet, but we're hoping there will be very soon.

Hey everyone!

We have just started this new Tokio Hotel fanaction called Dogs Unleashed and we'd really love to make it global. We started out yesterday by sending emails to as many fanclubs around the world as possible. Here's what we wrote:

Hi!

This is Inger-Helena and Siiri from the Official Estonian Tokio Hotel Fanclub. We have been Tokio Hotel fans since 2005 and during these past years they have given us so much joy and inspiration. Now we feel it’s time to give something back and make a good deed in their name.

We want to conjoin our as well as the band’s love for animals, especially for dogs. Feeling inspired by the song "Dogs Unleashed" and counting on all the Tokio Hotel fans’ compassion for abandoned dogs, we came up with an idea for a worldwide fanaction:

Why don’t we choose a specific date, get all the Tokio Hotel fans around the globe together (in separate countries though), and devote one day to visiting dog pounds, taking these dogs for a walk and helping them in any way we can. We could also raise some money for the abandoned dogs’ welfare. As we mentioned before, this fanaction is inspired by the song "Dogs Unleashed", so that would also be the most suitable name for it.

The prior purpose of this project is simply doing something good together and spreading unconditional love. We believe that animals need just as much attention as human beings and that they need our help even more because they are unable to speak for themselves.

You might think how it is connected to Tokio Hotel. What we believe is that this fanaction could show the world that Tokio Hotel does not only make teenage girls scream and run around like crazy, but they also inspire people. Together we could show the world that we, the fans, inspired by our favourite band, are able and willing to make a change. So yes, in a way Tokio Hotel would also profit from this (just imagine all the publicity), but as we mentioned before – our main aim is just to do something good.

By today, two fanclubs had already answered and said they were up for it. These were Finland and the United Kingdom - THANK YOU SO MUCH!

We just can't wait for more feedback - we're super excited! And we'll keep you all updated.
